My purpose is to inspire the creative genius in everyone.

Hi, My name is Krister.

I’m a designer, educator, creativity coach & counsellor. I have innovated the creative process of many design professions ranging from the Industrial Design of museum exhibitions & interactive playgrounds, through to the UX & Service Design of corporate and startup digital transformations. For the past few years I have been returning to my true calling I felt as a child, to inspire everyone be creative using true intuition so that what they express is nothing short of their unique creative genius.

Instead of just talking about it, I’m living it myself first and then demonstrating the magnificent transformation that is possible in me and people around me, the more I develop a fitness towards using intuition as my only guide in attending to work and being creative.

My designs and activities show just how easy and fun it is to be creative using true intuition. I’m putting the joy back into being creative. All while showing how easy it is to tune into our true intuition to do it.

True intuition allows each person to experience the joy of expressing their unique creative genius and discover their hidden talents all at the same time. I often observe in us all how the ingenious ideas and breakthrough insights that emerge are so brilliantly simple we just can’t stop giggling and laughing. Work gets done faster and feels just as light, fun and purposeful as it did when we played as children. Do you remember how that felt?

Today we are seeing a mass exodus from work feeling like drudgery. The truth we are not told is that committing to doing even more work, but by using intuition to express our creative genius, makes our work a joy, easy and quick.

Every one of us is born with a uniquely brilliant way of being creative that brings us joy and simplicity on the job that inspires others.

Yet for as long as I have observed myself and people around me engage in work, and particularly since the 2020 lockdowns, I’ve seen the rise in complexity make creativity and work an exhausting drudgery to the extent that what we’re seeing now is a mass exodus from work. That drastically dwindles the opportunities to express ourselves if work is the main arena we’re ignited into purpose to bring all of our unique design!

The complexity is not the problem though. It’s a trigger to get us all to react by withdrawing from expressing the creative spark we are innately designed to bring to make work light and easy. What makes it an exhausting drudgery is the daily effort to hold back our true expression.

What this blog and design gallery offers to inspire all.

Based on my lived experience and extensive design practice, including facilitating both corporate teams and classrooms of preschool children playfully do Design Thinking, I am now embarking on developing and teaching a course that puts the joy back into doing Design Thinking, to stem the flow of people taking themselves to hospital with burnouts and heart attacks. It’s fun, effective and “back to basics”. We need this course’s curriculum as a foundation for me to then develop two more projects that balance each other to support us express our creative genius:

1. Serious Playgrounds that activate Hidden Talent in Business Accelerators

My workplace designs will transform the office spaces of business accelerators into serious playgrounds full of toys and play activities that illuminate our hidden talent while making creative problem-solving together feel fun, easy and purposeful. Making work fun and full of laughter drops our guardedness so that our creative genius flows and inspires others, and without trying. How can we try when we are laughing?

And what I learn from the hilariously playful moments of allowing the creative genius to emerge in children I then bring to reactivate it (the child and genius) in the workplace.

2. Living like royalty on a budget: A palatial home of regal rituals that nurture an ease in the body to allow even more creative genius to emerge.

The home lifestyle designs I produce enrich us to live like royalty on a budget. This supports the modern worker in two ways:

1. Living as royalty establishes rituals with beautifully designed objects that nurture the body with melting moments of calm. It is these recurring melting moments of delicacy and feelings of regal richness that allow us to feel so at ease that our creative genius can emerge.

2. Making it affordable to craft our own objects and rituals, makes living as royalty easy and accessible to many.

Often these beautiful objects and rituals inspire me to see them as low cost, rapid prototypes of products and services to start a business from; and I share in that creative process too.
